School Observation & Training Event
You're Invited
You are invited to our first publicly available observation and training event at Blue Willow Tutorial, one of our Alveary schools, from October 26-28th near Knoxville, Tennesee!
Immersive, hands-on experiences are important for relational educators. We don't want to just read about Charlotte Mason's principles and methods; we need to learn to practice and live them out ourselves for our own sake and for our students. Since most of us were not educated with this relational philosophy, this presents a challenge. It's not easy to teach something we haven't experienced ourselves. What does a good narration actually sound like? How can all the different subjects actually fit into a joyful morning rhythm?
Immersive, hands-on experiences are important for relational educators.
Charlotte Mason thought it was so helpful for educators to have the opportunity to see relational learning in progress and to have a chance to practice leading lessons themselves, that she established a practicing school, fondly known as the Beehive, for teachers in training to observe and practice lessons with the local village children in Ambleside.*
Participants will, like Mason's teachers, observe, experience, and lead lessons to gain hands-on insight into relational education.
So, following in her footsteps, we wanted you to be among the first invited to join us at Blue Willow Tutorial from October 26-28th. Participants will, like Mason's teachers, observe, experience, and lead lessons to gain hands-on insight into relational education. Space is limited, so register today to save your spot and read more here. We hope to meet you soon!
